NAAMSA MEDIA STATEMENT ON THE ANNOUNCEMENT BY THE COMPETITION COMMISSION REGARDING THE INVESTIGATION INTO THE AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRY TRADING PRACTICES AND PRICING 

NAAMSA has noted the outcome of the investigation by the Competition Commission into automotive industry trading practices and pricing. 

NAAMSA had previously been fully exonerated by the Competition Commission from any involvement in anti-competitive practices.  

The latest announcement by the Competition Commission is not a NAAMSA issue but relates specifically to matters between the Commission and various manufacturers / importers and/or their respective dealer councils.  The affected parties should be approached individually for comment. 

NAAMSA as a body remains committed to the principles of free enterprise and a competitive automotive industry.
